Louis XIII Black Pearl Cognac: Beauty Inside, Beauty Outside

This must be one of the most expensive cognacs in the world. At the same time, the bottle itself is a masterpiece, in my opinion. The bottle is made of crystal with a polished hematite finishing look. The fleur-de-lys designs in the outside of the bottle are made of platinum, giving a more luxurious look to the bottle.

The inside of the bottle is the candy of the whole piece: the spirit inside the bottle has been created from 1,200 eaux-de-vie wine aged 40 – 100 years... so imagine the price of this cognac that could easily be shown in a museum as a piece of the most delicate art.

The price of this luxurious cognac is around $1,500 each bottle, of a numbered series of 786 bottles. The exact number of 786 bottles comes from the number of decanters (bottles) that can be filled from one tiercon, the type of oak barrel used by Rémy Martin to age Louis XIII. Now you can have an idea about why is this Louis XIII Black Pearl Cognac so unique, so exquisite and so expensive...
